My husband and I have to go to Moffitt frequently from St Pete ,I alway try to make time to stop by here to grab a delicious sandwich or a bagel with one of the delicious varieties of cream cheese.. I always recommend this place to friends and family that are going to need up that way... friendly staff and absolutely delicious fresh bagels!!!
This is the closest to a NY bagel shop you are going to get outside of the city. The moment you walk In you feel like you stepped into another world. Staff is great and the bacon egg and cheese on everything is amazing
Ingredients were fresh and there were plenty of options. Bagels were nice and doughy. The chive cream cheese was delicious! Salmon was good, not great. Big portions as well, but a little expensive ($14 for nova sandwich). The service was efficient and there is a nice covered seating area outside. I would equate the seating area inside to a Subway.
Thank god for Bagels Plus. I went to school at USF and now realize that I took this shop for granted when I lived in the area. I still drive here from downtown 8 years after graduating to get my bagel fix, as it's really the only place that serves exceptional NY style bagels in Tampa. I cannot remember a single time that I've been here that I haven't been satisfied, which I can't say for any other bagel shop in Tampa. Employees are always friendly, the wait time is minimal, menu is visibly displayed on wall, and you can see your bagels and sandwiches being made right in front of you, deli style. This isn't a chain like your average Einsteins/Brueggers/any other mid bagel chain in Tampa. Growing up in New York, I find this shop to be reminiscent of a NY/Long Island style deli/bagel shop, and it's the only place in Tampa to get a "crispy on the outside, doughy on the inside" type bagel. If you're a cream cheese lover, this is your place because they pack it on. I should caveat this review that bagel sandwiches are my stress eating food, so the quality of the bagel is much more important to me than the aesthetic of the restaurant. That being said, this is not the place to go if you're looking to post a picture on socials as the building is worn down, the lights flicker, and the bathroom is atrocious. But do I care about any of this when coming in to get a quick bagel sandwich or four dozen to go?? No Bagels Plus is not the cheapest bagel sandwich you can find in town, but the value is absolutely there. My coworker and I stopped by here on shift for a quick breakfast since we pass it every day and were curious about it We both went with the bagel sandwiches, his with bacon and mine with ham. The sandwiches were quite filling which was good since they are about 12 dollars per sandwich. The owner freshly cut the ham for my sandwich and I was happy overall with the meal. The menu isn't super expansive but service was quick and friendly
The bagel was big and had a shiny, crispy crust with a chewy inside. There was a good amount of bacon on my sandwich. The jalapeño cream cheese was very creamy and had a nice kick to it. Out of all the bagel spots I've been to in the Tampa area, this is the closest to NY/NJ bagels. I took one star off for the interior. It seemed a little outdated.
In the morning we were looking for a bagel and coffee in the morning. We searched near us and saw that Bagels Plus was near us. Since I had tried bagels from Bagels Plus before, I was confident that we would get delicious bagels and coffee. Once we entered the shop, we were greeted by the server. The ambiance was amazing with different bagels, cream cheese flavors, and coffee. We ordered two Everything bagels with Veggie Cream Cheese Flavor and Plain Cream Cheese. The order of Bagels got ready and then we ordered Black coffee. The bagels along with the coffee were delicious and they made our morning. Enjoy delicious bagels that are perfectly paired with a range of irresistible cream cheese flavors.
